1953 Chevy Corvette Convertible

This is a kit I didn't even know I had. I found it in a stash of empty boxes that I keep because of what came in them. It came to me years ago when my father-in-law passed away. As I wasn't doing models anymore I just stashed it. This was his favorite car. The box even had glue and all your basic paints in it, everything you would need to build it. I had it looking beautiful with a Metallic Silver paint that was very bright and shinny. The problem, if you touched it, it showed and tarnished. So I clear coated it with a high gloss and it instantly turned into the grey that it is now. Lesson learned, be very careful what you clear coat. Something I had to relearn at a latter time. Part fitment was a little tricky and it shows in some places. Again there are two sets of pictures old camera and new camera.
