DeepSouthCon 25 (Huntsville, AL – August, 1987)
(Photograph by John L. Coker, III)
It was at this sitting during the convention that Bloch and Norton agreed to collaborate on a round-robin novel, The Jekyll Legacy (which was eventually published by Tor Books).
A kitten came into the room meowing and walked directly under Andre’s chair, and Andre picked it up and named it “Robert.” They stayed together the entire convention, and Andre brought the kitten home to Winter Park, where it lived happily for many years.
