USS Walker DD163

I bought this to be displayed in front of a set of paperbacks by Taylor Anderson that I really liked. The series is called Destroyermen and follows a Wilkes Class WW1 destroyer through a time-warp onto another Earth. It's a really neat series if you like that sort of thing. I have learned that I seriously lack the skills, patience and proper tools to work on something this small (It's 9" long). This was the 1st Mirage kit I have ever touched, and it has its problems. Mainly the molds didn't line up so there is major flash and misalignment of parts. I am happy with it for I did the best I could. Being as it going to be displayed in front of a large group of boos up on a shelf, you'll never see the flaws. 

I also have a smaller one (1/700 scale) that I think is going to sit for a long time. It's just too small for me.
