Synopsis:
It’s a time of heroes past and ancient battle songs. Two young men coming of age and always trying to outdo the other have a drinking contest at a wedding. Aelvan the farmer kid always wanted to be a warrior like all the men around him but was content with the life he was given. And then there is his opposite, Medroc of the Old Race wanted nothing but to be a hero. While having their drinking competition Aelvan mentioned to Medroc the area his dad had declared a no-go zone and built a wall around. The next morning Medroc is missing and so are some old armor pieces found in storage the night before. Aelvan declares that he must go after Medroc because Medroc was under his protection being a guest at Aelvan’s house. Aelvan traces Medroc to the cordoned off pile of red rock his father had constructed only to discover it is a gate to another world in major need of heroes.
