MCLaren M-23 Ford - Formula 1

This was a gift from a friend. He said he had started it some 30 years ago and just never finished it. At some time the box had gotten wet and the decals were useless, couldn't save a one. Most of the parts he had painted white had severly yellowed. I stripped the white parts. Then I used the last of some Dupli-color Dark Garnett Pearl Red on it. Had a problem with the bottom edge of the underside of the main body. The paint stuck to the surface of what it was sitting on. With no touchup paint available, I chose to make the edge white and then duplicated it on the other side. Thus the little white stripes. Most of the engine was already assembled and I chose to use it as is.
