Synopsis:

This is the tale of Dr. Jorge Petronius as if Tennyson had written it (as well as IDYLLS OF THE KING).  Petronius had become an Arthurian Scholar perhaps because of his name. He is contacted by the [obviously] named Dr. Faye Morganlee, and asked to go on an dig in England to hunt for Arthur. They do find a stone,  which appears to be a ‘gate’. At the end of this adventure, that reads like a drug dream with bad Arthurian puns and references, Jorge Petronius tucks the stone under his arm, and leaves for his years future appointment with Simon Tregarth.  The wonder is how he gets the stone through customs, and why the story wasn’t edited down to something readable.

Timeline Points:

  1. Set on Earth sometime shortly after WW II. Explains how Jorge Petronius become guardian of the Siege Perilous. This is before he meets Simon Tregarth.
